Our theatre is located 2 lights east of the Bryn Mawr ‘el’ stop on the Red Line, and 2 lights west of the Bryn Mawr exit off Lake Shore Drive.
CTA Construction!
As CTA continues Red/Purple Line Modernization construction, the Bryn Mawr stop will see frequent weekend closures as the red line is repaired through 2024. We are currently in Stage A construction (May 16, 2021- late 2022), which aims to rebuild the northbound Red and Purple line tracks on the east half of the tracks. Please allow for extra time when arriving to our space, as we want you to see all the action from start to finish!
Parking
Allow ample time for parking!
We’re partnering with Edgewater Mexican Cafe to offer better parking options across the street from the theatre! Parking is available behind the restaurant at 1055 W. Bryn Mawr on the corner of Winthrop and Bryn Mawr. Free parking for dining and the show. Patrons can park at the Café for the performance, but should stop inside and alert an employee that you are parking for the performance to avoid towing. If you are going to a performance or returning from one, you can also receive a 15% discount on all menu items at Edgewater Mexican Cafe (exempting alcohol).
Please note that valet parking is no longer available at Francesca's Bryn Mawr, as the restaurant has closed it’s doors.
FREE street parking is available on side streets. You don't need a permit to park on Winthrop and Kenmore but availability is limited.
Metered street parking is 3-hour Paybox on Bryn Mawr Ave and 2-hour Paybox on nearby side streets. They are free on Sundays, and after 10pm Monday thru Saturday. You can manage the meter with your smart phone by registering at parkchicago.com which will save you an extra trip to your car during intermissions.
