You
may be wondering,
"Who is Redtwist Theatre?"
It's official. That's us--same great shows, same great hospitality,
same great folks!

But
why Redtwist?
We actually outgrew our old name. While we're proud
of our achievements, and the quality we've established as the Actors
Workshop Theatre, we felt it was time to move away from the "training
center"
image that the name "Actors Workshop" suggested. Also, after five
years in the Edgewater community, we learned that many people
assumed we were simply a training facility for actors, or a group that
only "workshopped" new plays. Of course, if you've seen our shows, you
know they are intimate, intense, and finely-honed productions--in
other words, "real" theatre.
The Redtwist Theatre name more accurately projects who we are
and
echoes what we do. Our mission: to do white hot drama, in a tiny
black box, with a little red twist.
If you are one of our many
loyal fans,
you can help us by telling EVERYONE that the great little storefront
theatre on Bryn Mawr is now Redtwist
Theatre.
Thanks for your support!
