Loose Knit by
Theresa Rebeck is a
satirical urban comedy about life and love as five women and two men
navigate the precarious waters of maturity and responsibility. Never
has a knitting circle been so biting and insightful in sketching the
sometimes futile search for fulfillment.

Few
pieces in recent years are as witty in taking the temperature of our
ultra-hip, oh-so-clever, post-modern world of desperately searching
souls. As such, Loose Knit is simply a fine play; but given Rebeck’s
compassion and respect for her yearning brood, it is a piece of art.
