Workshop Theatre announces the opening of a homegrown world-premiere
drama, Life’s Tremors, by
Tommy Lee Johnston, on Sunday, November 20 at 3pm.
A debilitating illness and a family tragedy threaten the passion and
vitality of a uniquely kind and generous man.
As a personal fitness trainer, playwright Tommy Lee Johnston has seen
the ravages of a deteriorating body first hand. He has distilled these
experiences into a mature, exciting new work that will have you riveted
with admiration and hope for the indomitable human spirit. It will be
staged by noted Chicago-based director, Peter Forster, with whom the
AWT is thrilled to begin a professional association.
Life’s Tremors
runs Thursday, Friday, Saturday at 8pm, and Sunday at 3pm through
December 18. Additional shows at 7pm on December 11 and 18 (no
performance Thanksgiving Thursday 11/24).
Early bird
pricing through December 1: Tickets $20, Seniors/Students $15. After
December 1: Tickets $25, Seniors/Students $20.
AWT is located at 1044 W Bryn Mawr, two blocks west of Lake Shore
Drive, two blocks east of the Red Line “el” stop. Street parking
(metered until 9pm) is available on Bryn Mawr, side streets, and
Broadway.
